Day 78
July 29 - 0km (Wiarton)
We laughed, we ate and we simply talked late into the night. Two of my friends were playing chess for some reason. I have a strange group of friends, but I felt genuine happiness being with them again.
I was not feeling this genuine happiness when a blaring alarm at the cottage woke us up at around 6 in the morning. The carbon monoxide detector was going off, and it was indicated that we should contact 911 in the event of an alarm. We all stood outside the cottage and waited for the fire department to make sure things were clear.
It happened to be a false alarm, so we all went back to sleep. We had a long day ahead of us at Sauble Beach. After a couple races and wrestling matches, we explored the town. At night, we huddled around a campfire and talked more. It was a great night, but I was feeling uncomfortable with how comfortable I was feeling.
