Day 27
June 8 - 23km (Antigonish)
Onwards we went. We reached the town of Antigonish and went to Peace by Chocolate, a shop run by Syrian refugees who lost their chocolate factory in the civil war. Kevy-poo had previously treated us to their potato-chip-embedded chocolate bars, and it was an unusual combination that worked.
After I got an antique license plate and we had pizza, Peri was able to find another host via Warmshowers. Their names were Chad and Sarah, and they had some really cool stories! Like while touring, someone threw a severed goat’s head near Chad’s tent.
I remember thinking that they were really cool, and I hoped to live a life of adventure like they had.
