Day 23

June 4 - 23km (Kelly’s View Motel)

Honestly, I slept quite poorly on the overnight ferry so I didn’t have too much energy in the morning. We all met up in the parking station down a couple levels and headed out as a unit into misty, rainy Nova Scotia. I got to see a couple of the people we made conversation with on the ferry before I departed, so that was nice. We chose to recharge at a nearby Tim Horton’s.

We eventually mustered the willpower to get our bikes ready to go, and I remember that it was COLD! The first ten minutes after stepping outside was really not fun, but eventually your body does warm up. It’s just not a very comfortable process.

We started biking, but the fog was really starting to set in. We tried to push through it, but the visibility eventually got so bad that we had to call it. We got a place at Kelly’s View Motel, and the owner gave us an extra room after she heard what we were doing. Thank you Audrey and Ron!
