Day 14

May 26 - 0km (South Brook)

The weather was still very rough. I had slept in, and Gene offered his shed for another night to avoid the rain and wind. I gladly accepted and met Gene’s wife, Peggy. I also met his son (also named Gene), who was also a funny guy. This was a very lively family and I felt right at home with all the banter and jokes flying around the dinner table. Peggy had made a traditional Jigg’s dinner, and I inhaled it. I really enjoyed my time with the Parsons.
