Day 116
September 5 - 109km (Somewhere along Highway 1)
The cycle repeated itself - I took a prolonged break, so now it was time to make up for it. I was trying not to feel guilty because my reason for stopping yesterday was due to the wildfire smoke, but it was hard not to feel frustrated in some way.
Along the way, I tried talking to some cows. They ran away. I had noticed that the herd of cows would stare at me suspiciously as I biked by; however, they paid no attention to the cars that zoomed by. After talking to another cyclist, we hypothesized it was because of how strange cycling must look to the cows.
The cows had a dull look as they stared me down, and I came to the very important realization that I had never seen a cow moo before despite seeing thousands of them on my journey thus far. Maybe one day.
