Day 109
August 29 - 116km (Grenfell)
Again, the wheel needed professional work, because I had no idea what I was doing with it. I literally learned what wheel truing was only a few days ago, and clearly I wasn’t doing a good job.
I got into Grenfell and again tried to fix my wheel to no avail. Then, I went to a restaurant - and spent way too long there. By the time I got out, it was pitch-black and I had no idea where I was going to sleep.
I was in a town that I had never been to before and I didn’t know a single person. It was night, and I didn’t have a place to sleep - but I wasn’t nervous. I trusted myself to make the right decision. This was a huge evolution from my first day on this journey, when I didn’t even know how to make my tent, let alone where to set it up.
I eventually found a high school and camped out on their football field.
