Day 58

July 9 - 141km (Montreal)

Montreal was really far away. And again, it was really hot. But the idea of biking all the way to Montreal from Trois-Rivières excited me. I loved the idea of a challenge.

The biking itself was tough. It was hot, but I took my nutrition very seriously. I loaded up on carbs when I could.

I entered Montreal as it was getting dark. Then, a crazy thunderstorm hit. There was lightning, there was thunder, and the rain was falling down so hard it hurt. My body was tired and soaked, but it was beautiful in the moment. I was listening to Daniel Caesar, Bill Withers and Bob Marley as I biked through a new city in a brutal thunderstorm. It was a core memory for me.

I made it to my host, Yannis, and called it a night.
