Day 48

June 29 - 98km (Meductic)

It was time to say goodbye. After saying goodbye to Ed, Vicki and the dogs (I really grew attached to them!), I crossed the border. It was time to continue the journey. I would be reentering Maine a couple hundred kilometres north to see my hometown, but I needed to make some progress. I made it to a truck stop and camped there - not before seeing a baby black bear! I was a safe distance away (so don’t worry, MOM!)
