Day 127

September 16 - 28km (Banff)

Guess what? I had another late start. I should probably work on that. Anyways, I was greeted by a gorgeous view of the mountains as I woke up. After saying bye to Kirsten and Lyle, I was ready to continue the journey.

This is probably going to sound repetitive, but the ride into Banff was the most beautiful on the trip so far - every single moment I was in awe of the scenes. As I made it into Banff, my knee was starting to hurt. I was hoping the pain would go away as I took a rest at a restaurant.

As I was hanging out, I was greeted by fellow cyclists going across Canada. We had a great conversation about the route so far and bonded over the obstacles we faced. However, when they left, I had to face reality again. My knee was hurting, and I didn’t want to risk injury. It made sense to take a rest today… and I suppose it wasn’t the worst place in the world to relax!
